Downside School

School pupils from ages 11 - 18 years contributed to painting an abstract depiction of a forest scene, using acrylic paint straight onto a sealed wall within the science department of Downside School. This project was a visual addition to their educational 'Tree Week', as the school wanted a colourful and cheerful mural painted predominantly by the students to celebrate the beauty of trees. For this project, once I had sized up the mural and drawn out the basic shapes of the trees, there were no allocated sections for each student to paint, it was simply for them to choose areas they wanted to paint in each session.
